Patient Care Professional

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Southeast in Pasadena, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and making a difference in the lives of our patients.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient-centered care by performing delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.
- Assist the nursing staff in implementing nursing care plans under the supervision of the licensed nurse.
- Provide support with mobility, including turning and positioning patients, using walkers, crutches, canes, wheelchairs, and transferring patients to and from other units or departments.
- Assist with non-medicated support care, such as dressing changes, skin protection, application of heat or ice, oxygen delivery, and venous compression devices.
- Retrieve medications from pharmacy, storage room, or tube system and deliver to licensed staff members as instructed.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- No previous medical experience required.
