Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a team of experienced Wound and Ostomy Care Specialists, ensuring high-quality patient care and consultations.
- Operate with a significant degree of autonomy, delivering tailored treatment and prevention strategies for patients.
- Work closely with unit leadership and nursing staff to recommend effective care plans while providing mentorship in wound and ostomy management.

Team Collaboration:
- Participate in the Skin Champions council, supporting and mentoring nursing staff in preventing pressure injuries across various units.
- Engage in decision-making processes related to policy and product reviews, ensuring evidence-based practices are upheld.

Quality Improvement:
- Regularly assess patient outcomes and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing quality and performance within the organization.
- Foster a collaborative environment where individual expertise is valued, and the collective goal is patient safety.

Position Details:
This is a per diem role with working hours from 8 AM to 4 PM.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Experience in wound, ostomy, and continence management.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Current RN license in New York State.
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care nursing experience in Medical Surgical settings.
- Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (CWON) and CWOCN certification.
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
