Wound Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Compu-Vision Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team. As a Registered Nurse with expertise in wound care, you will provide safe, competent, quality care to patients with wound, ostomy, and continence-related needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough health assessments to develop individualized plans of care for patients with wound, ostomy, and continence-related issues.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and make referrals to other disciplines as needed.
- Provide patient and family education on wound care, ostomy, and continence management, as well as prevention of complications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care delivery.
Requirements:
- Active NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Three to five years' experience in healthcare, with a focus on wound care and ostomy management.
- Ability to utilize electronic record systems and other healthcare systems relevant to this position.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in wound care, ostomy, or continence management.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and patient education programs.
