As a Pharmacy Intern at Ascension, you will have the opportunity to work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to perform various duties, including maintaining proper narcotic documentation, ensuring proper distribution of narcotic medications, and assisting pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles.

  • Under direct supervision, maintain accurate and up-to-date records of narcotic medications.
  • Ensure the proper distribution of narcotic medications to patient care areas.
  • Assist pharmacists with maintaining and monitoring patient profiles, including medication lists and allergy information.

Additionally, you will provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients, and assist with dispensing medications accurately.

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • Licensed Pharmacy Intern credentialed from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
  • High school diploma equivalency or enrolled in an accredited program specific to the discipline.

Preferred qualifications include being in pharmacy school or pharmacy school eligible, and having some pre-pharmacy experience.
