We have an exciting opportunity at Whole Foods Market for a talented Butcher to join our team.

About the Role
As a Butcher at Whole Foods Market, you will be responsible for cutting, plattering, and merchandising products including beef, pork, lamb, veal, and poultry. You will also prepare specialty meat merchandise such as sausage and oven-ready products, ensuring they meet WFM quality standards. Additionally, you will maintain our sampling program, monitor and assist in preventing spoilage, and mentor and support assigned Meat Cutter Trainees.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Cut, platter, and merchandise products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry)
- Prepare specialty meat merchandise (i.e. sausage, oven ready products, and cured meats)
- Check product to make sure it meets WFM quality standards
- Maintain sampling program
- Monitor and assist in preventing spoilage
- Mentor and support assigned Meat Cutter Trainee(s)

Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a butcher or meat cutter
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a Point of Sale system
