Job Summary

HF Sinclair is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Representative to join our team in Arizona or New Mexico. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for conducting high-level and complex marketing assignments for assigned petroleum products with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Development and Management
    • Maintain and further develop current client base and pursue opportunities to expand client base
  • Petroleum Product Evaluation and Pricing
    • Evaluate assigned petroleum product: monitors petroleum product inventories; monitors daily and monthly assigned petroleum product pricing and implements pricing strategies
  • Market Research and Analysis
    • Collects and analyzes market research to verify price information and to identify other potential sales opportunities
  • Strategic Planning and Execution
    • Assists management with developing and implementing long term marketing, sales, and pricing strategies. Makes daily pricing decisions and negotiates sales contracts
  • Crisis Management
    • Assists with crisis management in response to supply interruptions which may include production, loading, rack, or transportation issues
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    • Supports other company departments with assigned petroleum product transactions
  • Industry Representation
    • Represents the company at industry functions and association meetings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience
    • A minimum of five years of on-the-job experience specifically related to the job are required.
  • Education
    • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, in a technical, business or related field, is required.
  • Skills
    • Advanced crisis management skills: ability to handle situations involving conflicts arising out of products being off specification, short/long term refinery/logistical/human error problems causing product outages, customer complaints, etc.
    • Self-starter with drive and ability to achieve planned objectives.
    • Strong creative, organizational, analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Ability to create mutual respect with peers and a positive work environment.
    • Advanced ability to perform a variety of assignments as they relate to performing assigned petroleum product marketing, and effectively executing sales opportunities and multi-tasking.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft products.
    • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, advanced reading and writing skills, and an ability to perform intermediate level mathematical calculations.
Work Environment

Office based with up to 75% travel by land and air required. Occasionally will be required to work in petroleum refinery environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, and tanks. Ability and willingness to relocate. Subject to varying road and weather conditions
