About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level II to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient function of our surgical suites.

As a Surgical Technologist Level II, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the operating room environment, assisting with the peri-operative care of patients, and working closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sterile techniques, be able to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, including setting up and cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Assist with the peri-operative care of patients, including positioning, draping, and preparing patients for surgery.
  • Work closely with surgeons and nurses to ensure the smooth and efficient function of the operating room.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to surgical services.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist Certification is required within one year from the date of graduation from a surgical technologist program.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting required.
  • Preferred experience: Associate degree, 4 years' experience as Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting, committee and leadership experience, and Basic Life Support (BSLS).
