Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily activities of the logistics department, including freight spend management and process improvements.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce freight spend and improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on logistics-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for logistics operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in logistics and/or transportation, including full truckload (FTL), less than full truckload (LTL), air small package, and ocean transportation.
  • At least 3 years of previous managerial experience.
Working Conditions
  • Working between a warehouse and office environment.
  • Travel up to 10-15% (primarily by air).
  • Heavy PC use.
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines.
  • Fast-paced warehouse environment.
