Job Title: Audio Visual Technician

Join the Georgia Aquarium team as an Audio Visual Technician and play a crucial role in enhancing the guest experience through the operation, maintenance, and repair of audio visual equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain audio visual systems, including microphones, displays, projectors, and lighting, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for audio visual equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement audio visual solutions that meet the needs of the aquarium's exhibits and events.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on audio visual equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of audio visual systems, including installation records and maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of experience in the AV field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Mac and Microsoft systems, as well as experience with Crestron, Medialon, Nware, Pharos, and Vista programming.
  • Industry certifications, such as CTS, Crestron, Extron, and QSC, are desired but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
