Overview

Novant Health is seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care that promote optimal health or support a peaceful death.

Responsibilities

The Critical Care Nurse will serve as a leader of the healthcare team by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system. You will collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care. You will utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. You will accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with current policies and procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of critical care experience and a current RN licensure in the appropriate state. You will also be required to have PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NRP, ENPC certifications. Previous applicable progressive/telemetry and/or critical care/neuro clinical experience is preferred. Additionally, CEN, CFRN, CCRN, or CTRN certifications within one year of hire are desired.

Key Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Experience: Minimum two years critical care experience, required. Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NRP, ENPC; required. Additional Skills Preferred: Previous applicable progressive/telemetry and/or critical care/neuro clinical experience. CEN, CFRN, CCRN, or CTRN within 1 year of hire.
