Key Responsibilities:
- Product Development: Develop and manage seasonal Time and Action Calendars to ensure timely product launches.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate and lead cross-functional team meetings to drive product development and ensure alignment with sales and manufacturing teams.
- Customer Requirements: Assess customer requirements and create, update, and communicate customer compliance requirements.
- Product Management: Operate and manage all brand-specific finishing requirements in the PLM system (YPLM).
- Sampling and Swatch Books: Manage all sampling and swatch book needs, including ordering sample yardage and pre-positioning greige.
- Factory Management: Coordinate with sales and production operations on factory bulk capacity planning and costing, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure compliance with MOQs, lead times, and surcharges.
- Risk Management: Define development risk in cost, lead-time, customer requirements, etc.
Production:
- Style Setup and Purchase Orders: Create bulk production style setup, purchase orders, and cutting lists.
- ERP System Management: Understand and utilize the ERP system (Blue Cherry) to communicate production or development issues.
- Factory Communication: Communicate with factories, fabric, and trims suppliers as needed.
- Tracking and Logging: Track and log factory liabilities, expenses, and invoices.
- Production WIPs: Participate in production WIPs follow-up.
- Delivery Risks: Communicate and manage delivery risks with sales teams, Asia counterparts, suppliers, and in some cases, customers.
- Inventory Management: Work with sales and warehouse for inventory transfers to ensure work orders are complete and accurate.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in production.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Math Skills: Must be able to work with numbers at an advanced level (Retail Math).
- Availability: Must be available to work with overseas offices/suppliers after work hours via phone or email.
- Software Skills: Strong working knowledge of YPLM and Blue Cherry a plus.
- Industry Experience: Experience in swimwear or intimate apparel a plus.
- Client Experience: Must have experience working with Walmart as a direct client in the last 3-5 years.
