Product Development Manager

The Product Development Manager is a key professional who plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction of Citigroup Inc. by developing and implementing innovative product solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, industry developments, and client requirements, as well as the ability to adapt and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and revenue.

The Product Development Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end product development lifecycle, including scoping product releases, agreeing to and tracking business priorities, and incorporating regulatory and compliance requirements.

This role also involves developing plans, prioritizing, coordinating design and delivery of products or features to product release, and serving as a product ambassador within the user community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product development, with experience in end-to-end project delivery, preferably in product development, and knowledge of various analytical tools, including Qlikview, Tableau, and Access.

They will also possess excellent communication and diplomacy skills, with the ability to guide, influence, and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers.

The Product Development Manager will be responsible for delivering direct business results and advice regarding product development, which necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy.

This role also involves partnering with senior team members and leaders and a widely distributed global user community to define and implement solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product development methodologies, with experience in creating business analysis, troubleshooting data quality issues, and conducting exploratory and descriptive analysis of business datasets.

They will also possess excellent project management skills, with experience leading large cross-functional initiatives, and a strong propensity for detail and comprehensiveness of content.

The Product Development Manager will be responsible for focusing on controls and governance, including performing Need-to-Know based security and access reviews, Access Approvals, controls testing, and documentation.

They will also be responsible for appropriately assessing risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in product development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors/University degree, Masters degree preferred
