Job Overview

Position: SAP User / Accounting Operations Support Specialist

Client Type: Trading Company

Location: Onsite in New York, NY

Hours: 40 hours per week

Employment Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time

Compensation: $35 – 40 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver accounting operations assistance to users in accordance with client directives.
  2. Facilitate SAP S/4 HANA operational support based on provided documentation.
  3. Develop and oversee accounting operation-related documentation and manuals.
  4. Comprehend and adhere to client requests and instructions.
Essential Functions:
  1. Provide support services during designated operational hours as directed by the client or management.
  2. Be present at the client’s operational site prior to the commencement of service hours.
  3. Dress in accordance with client and management specifications.
  4. Engage in proactive communication with both client and company management.
  5. Understand requirements and provide services in alignment with instructions, including BYOD policies.
  6. Review and comprehend all training and documentation provided by the company.
  7. Submit required reports and attend meetings and training sessions as requested.
  8. Mentor and train new team members when necessary.
  9. Follow directives from the team manager to effectively operate the IT support team.
Qualifications:
  1. Adaptable mindset with a willingness to tackle sudden changes in requests, workflows, and responsibilities.
  2. Resilience and strong motivation to manage a heavy workload.
  3. Determination to achieve set goals.
  4. Meticulous attention to detail with the capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  5. 1-2 years of experience in SAP operational support (preferably S/4 HANA).
  6. 2-3 years of experience in user operational support.
  7. 2-3 years of experience in accounting operations support.
Skills Required:
  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  2. Knowledge of SAP operational support (preferably S/4 HANA).
  3. Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  4. Fluency in English is required; Japanese language skills are preferred.
Work Environment:

Client's Office Site

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 20 lbs while walking.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to undertake domestic and international travel as well as work outside of standard business hours, including weekends and holidays, if necessary.
