Senior Zonal HIL Engineer
This role offers a unique opportunity to own and design the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test environment for our Zonal architecture.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement HIL test strategies, test cases, and scripts based on internal and regulatory requirements.
- Set up and run hands-on tests, aiming to automate processes wherever possible.
- Support bug triage and analysis, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Identify gaps in test coverage to prevent future regressions and maintain high-quality testing.
- Utilize data analysis tools to interpret test results and make informed decisions.
- Document findings and provide reports to stakeholders.
- Maintain traceability through requirement management tools and version control.
To excel in this position, you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience in testing and validation, preferably in the automotive industry.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in MATLAB Simulink and working experience with dSPACE/Typhoon or similar systems.
- Familiarity with vehicle controls theory and common lab instruments like DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DAQs.
- Expertise in I/O and communications interfaces, such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Strong written, visual, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Python scripting for automation and test scripts.
- Familiarity with testing areas like Vehicle Controls, Thermal Controls, Power Distribution, and Body Controls.
- Experience with dSPACE, MotionDesk, CarSim, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of test management tools like DOORS, Polarion, or JAMA.
- Test automation setup experience, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with diagnostics protocols like UDS ISO14229.
- Understanding of standards ISO26262 and SAE J1772.
- Experience with automotive regulations, environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
