Responsibilities:

  • Execute scheduled maintenance and electrical safety evaluations on various medical and support devices.
  • Oversee designated equipment and coordinate service timelines.
  • Conduct preacceptance evaluations and formulate maintenance protocols for devices.
  • Verify that testing instruments are calibrated and operating correctly.
  • Address operator inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Investigate and procure repair components within budgetary constraints.
  • Provide informal instruction to users and staff regarding equipment.
  • Advise the Department Manager on service strategies.
  • Engage in Quality Improvement and Risk Management initiatives.
  • Ensure a productive work environment is maintained.
  • Offer emergency on-call assistance as required.
  • Record all asset-related activities in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve technical updates and device challenges.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in electronics or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in servicing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.
  • Valid driver's license for roles requiring field service.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as under supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call duties.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and collaborative team spirit.
