Job Summary

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Atrium Health, you will be responsible for administering anesthetics to patients undergoing medical or surgical procedures. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthetics to patients, maintaining a safe and controlled environment
  • Develop and implement anesthetic plans of care, taking into account patient medical history and test results
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Perform venous and arterial access procedures as necessary
  • Recognize and respond to anesthetic complications or unfavorable patient conditions

Requirements

  • NC RN licensure required
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia required
  • CRNA licensure required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent walking and standing, as well as the ability to assist in moving patients greater than 100 pounds. Near visual acuity, depth perception, and color perception are required, as well as clear speech and the ability to hear.
