Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety and health risks.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing training.
  • Ensure all certifications and permits are up to date and current, and that all employees are properly trained and certified.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and submit reports to local agencies as required.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of safety and health procedures, including incident reports and OSHA logs.
  • Investigate all accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to identify and address safety and health concerns.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and laws, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as environmental science, occupational health, or safety management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles, with a strong background in OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation.
  • Experience working with OSHA, DNR, and EPA regulations and compliance.
