Job Summary:

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to support a US Air Force program. The successful candidate will have experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture and a strong background in systems administration for hybrid/cloud/on-prem environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 2 support for end users and administrators within the AWS System.
  • Develop and execute onsite monitoring checklist and tools.
  • Support product deployment for execution teams.
  • Ensure security compliance evaluation, triage, resolution, and dissemination.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver simple solutions to complex problems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or additional years of experience.
  • A minimum of 2+ years in systems administration for hybrid/cloud/on-prem environments with Linux and Windows servers.
  • Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture.
  • Comfortability using Linux command line.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II certification (such as CompTIA Security + CE, CISSP, etc).
  • Active Secret Clearance or higher, with ability to upgrade/maintain a Top Secret Clearance.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Certified in AWS (such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or Solutions Architect Professional certification).
  • Linux bash scripting.
  • Windows PowerShell.
  • Experience working in Agile teams.
