About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at Summit Health. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT examinations, utilizing a sound understanding of anatomical positioning, CT protocols, and equipment to produce optimum results.
  • Follow established departmental protocols for procedures, unless specified otherwise by the Radiologist.
  • Produce quality diagnostic images for interpretation, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Assume accountability for managing delivery of care and patient safety, prioritizing and organizing work assignments as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with attending Radiologists and verify provider orders, obtaining and documenting patient history and relevant information.
  • Ensure the CT room's cleanliness after exams and procedures, adhering to infection control standards specific to patient care.
  • Operate CT and medical imaging equipment properly and safely, with a focus on radiation safety procedures for self and others.
  • Prepare and assist in the administration of contrast materials, demonstrating knowledge and compliance of safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience in Diagnostic Imaging or a related field.
  • Graduation from an accredited Radiology program.
  • Licensed by the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies.
  • BLS certification is required; IV certification is preferred.
  • Maintain current knowledge of RIS and PACS computer systems.
  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is required.
  • Advanced computer skills, including email, Microsoft applications, and the ability to comprehend and utilize Electronic Medical Record Systems, RIS, and PACS Systems.
