Job Summary

The Director of Rehabilitation Services is responsible for coordinating the policies, objectives, initiatives, and programs for the delivery of rehabilitation therapy services to patients in long-term care, skilled nursing, and acute care facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the performance of the rehabilitation therapy staff, including physical, speech, and occupational therapists.
  • Develop and implement business plans and budgets for the rehab department.
  • Ensure services are provided in compliance with professional and clinical competency standards, state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and direct the work of others, and treat patients as needed, in accordance with their practice area.
  • Make independent decisions and think creatively to solve issues within the rehab department.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience and licensure as a physical therapist, speech-language pathologist, or occupational therapist for the state of California.
  • Or, licensed as a physical therapy assistant or certified occupational therapy assistant with at least 5 years of experience and past supervisory experience.

  • Paid Time Off (PTO) - accrue up to 120 hours of PTO for every year, with additional 8 hours of PTO for each additional year of service, up to a maximum accrual of 240 hours of PTO.

Compensation

The salary range is dependent upon experience, schedule, and employee classification, with a range of $50.00 to $58.00 per hour.
