Job Summary:

The Substance Abuse Counselor will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing individual and group counseling sessions to clients. You will work closely with our clinical director and other team members to ensure that clients receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group counseling sessions to clients
  • Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client services
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based treatment models
Requirements:
  • Licensed by the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
  • At least 2 years' experience in the substance abuse field or a similar field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Valid Kansas driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
Working Conditions:

This position requires sitting for extended periods, typing/data entry, writing, lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds, driving for community mobility, and bending/stooping. All duties and responsibilities are considered essential job functions subject to reasonable accommodation.
