The Southern Education Foundation, a leading organization in education reform, seeks a skilled Communications Specialist to join its team. As a key member of the Equity Assistance Center-South, this professional will play a crucial role in advancing the organization's mission and goals.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires expertise in communications, social media, and branding. The successful candidate will work closely with the EAC-South Director and Communications Manager to execute the initiatives of the EAC-South, including overall communications, social media strategy, resource creation using design platforms, and brand advancement.

  • Main Responsibilities: Developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging social media content, monitoring and responding to social media engagement and feedback, designing and producing marketing and communication materials, ensuring brand consistency in all created resources.
  • Key Skills: Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, WordPress, and social media platforms, experience with website analytics and SEO optimization, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work effectively and manage multiple tasks concurrently.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, two or more years of experience in communications, and a proven track record of successful campaigns in education reform.

The Southern Education Foundation offers a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, a comprehensive benefits package, and a hybrid work schedule.
