Job Title: School Based Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide exceptional therapy services to clients in the Wrightsville and Little Rock areas.

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity to join our team as a School Based Occupational Therapist, working with pediatric and/or adult populations. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating clients with various occupational challenges, helping them achieve their personal goals and improve their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, and develop personalized treatment plans to address these needs effectively.
  • Therapy and Intervention: Provide individualized therapy sessions to help clients develop, recover, and improve daily living and work skills, using evidence-based techniques to support client progress and goal attainment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client evaluations, treatment plans, and progress, and prepare and submit necessary reports to clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to create and implement effective treatment strategies, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Education and Support: Educate clients and their families about strategies and techniques to enhance daily living skills and promote independence, and provide support and guidance to help clients navigate their therapeutic journey.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in occupational therapy practices and participate in continuing education opportunities to maintain professional competence.
Qualifications:
  • For OT: Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, valid Arkansas state licensure as an Occupational Therapist, and certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • For COTA: Associates degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program, valid Arkansas state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, and certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric and/or adult populations, depending on the role.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
