As a Speech-Language Pathologist with The Menta Education Group, you will work with students to provide speech-language assistance in accordance with their individualized education plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in groups and individually, monitoring behavior to ensure alignment with programmatic expectations.
  • Provide educational direction and support for students at times of confusion, frustration, and emotional upset.
  • Develop and update individualized education plan goals and progress reports for student caseloads.
  • Provide speech-language related service minutes as dictated on the individualized education plan.
  • Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited university program.
  • Current speech-language pathology license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
  • Clinical competency certification (CCC) preferred, but clinical fellowship year (CFY) welcomed.

Our Transition Program is designed to support young adults with unique learning, behavioral, social, and emotional needs. We provide career exploration, customized employment, specialized vocational and academic instruction embedded with social emotional learning, and comprehensive support services.

Our staff provide students with frequent feedback, that is positive in nature, regarding their behavior and skills as they engage with others during the school day and while in the community.

Students earn work points by participating in assigned tasks and activities. Behavior points are earned for appropriate behavior. Bonus points may be earned for meeting their labor expectations. Students receive bi-monthly paychecks that are calculated based on the number of points earned and their pay level.
