Position Overview

Volt is actively seeking skilled Gas Turbine Mechanics for immediate temp-to-hire opportunities.

As a Gas Turbine Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembly and installation of mechanical components on gas turbine engines
  • Fabrication and assembly of engines and motors
  • Installation of hydraulic tubing
  • Routing of cables and wires, including electrical terminations
  • Wire and cable harnessing
  • Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Utilizing hand tools, particularly wrenches

We offer shifts that include 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) and 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm), with a majority of positions available on the 2nd shift. There is a significant amount of overtime available. Volt provides a stable work environment, opportunities for advancement, and a friendly workplace culture.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in mechanical assembly, including layout, installation, and wiring of larger mechanical components
  • Background as an auto mechanic, diesel mechanic, aviation mechanic, engine mechanic, or HVAC technician is preferred but not mandatory
  • Experience in shipyard or military settings is advantageous
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, especially wrenches
  • Capability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Compensation: Salary will be determined based on various factors, including education, experience, job location, specific duties, and certifications.
