Job Overview

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual to assist in the loading and unloading of materials from production machinery, conveyors, and transport systems. This role involves operating equipment utilized in the manufacturing process or providing support to machine operators. The selected candidate will be responsible for placing items in machinery or on work surfaces for subsequent processing, inspection, or packaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively interpret measurements using tape measures, gauges, and other testing instruments;
  • Assist in the setup of machinery and support machine operators in production and packaging tasks;
  • Organize finished products according to factory standards;
  • Facilitate the loading and unloading of machinery;
  • Ensure the availability of raw materials;
  • Engage in team meetings, minimize waste, actively contribute to problem-solving initiatives, and uphold quality standards;
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime as necessary;
  • Participate in the setup of production machinery;
  • Review factory orders for accuracy;
  • Verify correct bundle/unit counts and communicate final counts to the supervisor;
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift weights up to 50 pounds;
  • Experience in organizing bundles from conveyors into shipping patterns;
  • Use of protective equipment (steel-toed footwear) is mandatory;
  • Prior experience in the environmental or corrugated industry is preferred;
  • Proficient in reading tape measures quickly and accurately, with a basic understanding of mathematics;
  • Completion of prescreen testing is required.
