Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is in search of a Project Financial Specialist to operate within our team. This role will collaborate closely with project leaders to guarantee that our clients receive accurate and timely invoices. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, entering and reviewing new projects in our financial software, ensuring that project configurations align with client invoicing and contractual stipulations, preparing invoices for submission to clients, and generating straightforward reports as required.

Responsibilities

Establish new projects and tasks within our financial software. Confirm that project setups are compliant with contractual agreements. Draft invoices for Project Leaders and work with them to implement necessary modifications. Billing arrangements may encompass time & material, cost-plus fixed fee, lump sum, and fixed unit terms. Monitor and reconcile expenses associated with projects against labor charges. Finalize and dispatch invoices to clients, which may involve preparing supplementary spreadsheets, forms, and/or assembling expense documentation. Provide requested reports to Project Leaders to assist in managing the financial performance of their projects. (Requests for reports beyond the Project Financial Specialist's capability will be addressed by a more senior team member). Support the collections department and project leaders as necessary to amend invoices or furnish additional information to clients for payment processing. Digitally organize invoices and supporting documents. Execute other accounting tasks as required. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a combination of an Associate's Degree with relevant experience. 0-2+ years of experience in project billing is preferred. Experience in the AEC sector is advantageous. Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English for the purpose of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions.
