Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a highly qualified Medical Sciences Professor to join our team. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Participate in the planning, implementation, and delivery of histology, cytology, anatomy, and pathology content in our pre-clerkship curriculum.
- Teaching and Mentoring: Engage with and provide guidance/mentorship for students, serving as a role model and advisor.
- Research and Scholarship: Pursue independent scholarship and/or research, contributing to the advancement of medical education and scientific knowledge.
- Service and Committee Work: Serve on various committees and contribute to the continued development of our department of medical sciences.
- Education: Terminal degree (Ph.D., M.D., D.O.) with specialization in a basic/clinical science field.
- Expertise: Expertise in one or more of the following: Histology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Pathology, Immunology/Microbiology, Anatomy/Neuroanatomy.
- Teaching Experience: Evidence of excellence in teaching in an undergraduate medical education and/or other health science settings.
- Digital Anatomic Pathology: Skilled digital anatomic pathologist.
- Research Experience: Experience in (clinical) laboratory setting, teaching medical students topics including anatomy and/or pathology.
- Active Learning Pedagogies: Demonstrated ability to effectively employ active learning pedagogies.
- Course Development: Demonstrated experience and ability in developing integrated medical science course materials for undergraduate medical students in both preclinical and clinical phases.
