About the Role

Southern Bancorp is seeking a skilled Web Designer to join our team. As a Community Development Financial Institution, we strive to create a positive impact on our customers' lives. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing our company website, ensuring it is functional, engaging, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of our company website, aligning with our brand identity, business goals, and user needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to create visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly web pages.
  • Content Creation: Create and curate compelling content, including landing pages, blog posts, and interactive elements.
  • SEO and Analytics: Optimize pages and content for search engines to improve visibility and organic traffic, and manage and monitor web-based data and analytics.
  • User Experience: Conduct user research and usability testing to identify pain points and enhance the overall user experience.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related field, and 2+ years of experience in web design, preferably in the financial sector.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles, as well as experience with WordPress or related content management systems.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, and experience with digital marketing and knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
