Job Summary:

As a Patient Service Representative at Northern Light Health, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience for all. Your responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and answering telephones in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedules/reschedules patient appointments based on the physician schedule

Greets visitors and patients, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere

Answers telephones, records messages, and responds to patient inquiries

Enters and updates patient registration data and patient accounts

Photocopies documents as required and pre-certifies patients when necessary

Processes and records referral requests for patients and physicians

Transcribes letters and memos as required and maintains computer backups

Processes and sorts mail, and processes calls from insurance companies

Corrects and edits transcriptions, and stocks and orders supplies

Complies with Hospital Hand Hygiene Standards and adheres to Hospital Standards of Behavior

Requirements:

High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED)

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
