The Norman Regional Health System is seeking an experienced and skilled PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join its innovative outpatient physical therapy clinic. As a member of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to deliver specialized speech therapy to patients of all ages, conducting assessments and implementing individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establish a plan of care.
- Develop and implement therapy programs utilizing standard speech therapy techniques as appropriate for the age and disability of the patient.
- Document delivery of Speech Therapy services.
- Educate patients, family, caregivers, and significant others on effective communication strategies and techniques.
- Promote physical rehabilitation services through community-based education activities, marketing opportunities, and support groups.
- Serve as a clinical instructor and supervisor for students from accredited speech therapy programs.
- Participate in planning for the provision of patient care services and provide staff in-service training upon returning from continuing education or professional conferences.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Previous experience in hospital settings, preferably with dysphagia expertise and Medicare documentation knowledge.
- A current Oklahoma license for Speech-Language Pathology or SLP license eligibility with a temporary license.
- An ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence or completion within the first year under a licensed therapist as a CFY.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training prior to providing patient care and maintenance throughout employment.
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and location.
