This role encompasses the comprehensive management of maintenance functions, focusing on enhancing the economic efficiency and operational reliability of plant assets.

The key aim is to implement effective improvement programs through the dedicated efforts of the maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Administering the safety program to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, conducting root cause analyses, and promoting best practices.
  • Conducting regular inspections and repairs on major plant systems and mobile equipment.
  • Overseeing the preventive maintenance program and implementing strategies for maintenance enhancement.
  • Managing resource allocation and developing the maintenance budget for optimal cost efficiency.
  • Implementing maintenance systems and managing improvement projects.
  • Providing leadership and mentorship to maintenance personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Creating a long-term vision for the Maintenance Department aligned with plant goals.
  • Developing a comprehensive maintenance plan to maximize productivity and minimize downtime through proven maintenance techniques.
  • Reviewing and approving technical specifications to ensure compliance with operational guidelines.
  • Coordinating plant projects and shutdowns to ensure timely completion and minimal disruption.
  • Facilitating ongoing development of plant personnel through training and mentoring.
  • Assessing technical expertise to support production and maintenance departments in optimizing equipment and processes.
  • Leading reliability initiatives to meet plant and corporate objectives.
  • Acting as a liaison for maintenance activities between the plant and corporate headquarters.
  • Administering company policies and procedures effectively.
  • Providing maintenance support across all shifts, including after-hours incident management.
  • Ensuring compliance with organizational standards through training and monitoring.
  • Proactively managing employee health and safety to enhance overall performance.

Essential Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering with substantial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in plant maintenance, preferably in the cement industry.
  • Strong grasp of maintenance principles and techniques.
  • Proven leadership and motivational skills.
  • Experience in project management and strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective coordination.
  • Familiarity with large industrial machinery and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of SAP and CAD software.
