Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Therapist to join our team at Greenville County Commission On Alcohol & Drug Abuse. As an Addiction Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intakes and assessments to determine the best course of treatment for new admissions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support to clients as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client contact and progress.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and internal programs to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Train and supervise assigned counselors to ensure high-quality care.
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in achieving their treatment goals.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports and evaluations to ensure accountability and quality improvement.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a human services field from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of the ADC process within 3 years of hire.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with substance use disorders.
