At Dependable Staffing Agency CA, we are seeking a skilled Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care services to the Corrections Department in Jamestown, CA. As a Temporary/Relief Optometrist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Optometry services, including examination, diagnosis, treatment, and prescription information, in accordance with Business and Professions Code § 3041 et al.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that all ordered Optometry services are scheduled consistently with the Optometry need.
* Provide examination, diagnosis, treatment, prescription information, and simple repairs only, in accordance with Business and Professions Code § 3041 et al.
* Refer patients for consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and/or surgery to corrections department contract physicians and/or healthcare facilities, as approved by the Institution/Facility CEO/CME or designee.
* Maintain continuity of all work performed from start to finish.
* Provide Optometry visual services and diagnoses and treatment for specific conditions, including allergies, infectious diseases, and non-systematic inflammations of the conjunctiva, using diagnostic agents and topical products.

Requirements:

* Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years performing services similar in scope to those defined herein in a public or private institution.
* Possess and maintain a current and valid license issued by the State of California, Board of Optometry, to perform services in the State of California.
* Proficient in the English language and able to communicate effectively with the corrections department.

Salary Range: $90 - $100/HR
