Aerial Construction Supervisor Job Description

As an Aerial Construction Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in leading our in-house construction teams and contract labor to deliver high-quality results in new construction, maintenance, rebuild projects, and storm restoration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate aerial construction efforts, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Monitor and manage in-house productivity, safety, and quality of work performed within the aerial construction department.
  • Recruit, train, and develop in-house aerial construction teams and contract labor, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with engineers and developers to design and implement plant upgrades, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to industry standards.
  • Manage daily production and submit/review reports, reconciling submitted invoices with work completed in the field.
  • Coordinate permitting and make-ready processes, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with managers and stakeholders, providing updates on construction progress and addressing concerns.
  • Review and process damage claims, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of OSP construction work experience in the Telecom field.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • CDL License Required.
  • Industry and vendor-specific certifications and training (NCTI, SCTE, BCT/E).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience, Associates degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project supervision experience in HFC/FTTH construction.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
Working Conditions:

Office and field environment, with exposure to dust, dirt, noise, insects, rodents, pets, and cleaning solutions. Work outdoors in all kinds of weather and at various heights above ground on telephone/power poles.
