Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Full-Time Outpatient Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our outpatient nursing department. Our facility specializes in treating children with intricate medical issues, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and trauma. Our nursing staff is dedicated to delivering outstanding care to our young patients while assisting families in navigating their unique challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and document initial and ongoing patient assessments.
- Implement interventions and evaluate their effectiveness against established goals.
- Exhibit unit-specific skills and competencies.
- Utilize the chain of command for resolving issues.
- Provide education to patients and their families.
- Delegate patient care tasks to other team members.
- Approach patient care with a family-centered perspective.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in pediatric nursing or pediatric emergency department.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a valid nursing license in the state of Illinois.
- Current CPR certification from an approved organization.
- Exhibit service excellence behaviors.
- Demonstrate effective communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Encourage collaboration among healthcare team members.
- Complete all mandatory training and education within the required timeframe.
