Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Operative Preparation
    • Prepare surgical trays and instruments according to established protocols.
    • Ensure proper instrument cleaning and sterilization.
    • Assist with patient preparation and positioning.
  • Operative Support
    • Provide assistance to the oral surgeon during procedures.
    • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergencies.
    • Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment.
  • Post-Operative Care
    • Assist with patient recovery and discharge.
    • Monitor patient vital signs and report any concerns to the oral surgeon.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
    • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and charting.
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Completion of an accredited Surgical Assistant program.
  • Certifications
    • CPR/BLS certification required.
    • Dental X-ray license (Pano, PA, CBCT) required.
  • Skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day. The ideal candidate will be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
