Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Gerontology, or a related field.
- Compliance with any necessary state-specific certifications for Licensed Assisted Living or equivalent, along with a thorough understanding of relevant federal and state regulations.
- A genuine passion for leadership and the development of personnel, alongside a commitment to delivering exceptional service to residents.
- Outstanding hospitality skills, with a keen awareness of the unique needs of aging adults and their families.
- A strong dedication to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
- Proven ability to establish meaningful connections with residents, team members, and families to enhance satisfaction and community engagement.
- Competence in working effectively and diplomatically with diverse groups, including employees, residents, families, and community organizations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a positive culture within the community, reinforcing our core values through effective communication and exemplary servant leadership.
- Engage meaningfully with all residents, ensuring they experience Safety, Belonging, Anticipation, and Peace of Mind.
- Oversee the community's financial health and operational success.
- Guide other leaders within the community.
- Assist in recruitment, training, performance management, and separations as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families.
- Support the sales process to convert prospective residents into actual residents and collaborate effectively with sales partners.
- Manage lease signings and ensure a smooth transition for new residents, working with various departments to meet their needs.
- Conduct monthly Resident Forums to address and respond to resident feedback.
- Lead daily meetings to discuss community concerns and address issues proactively.
- Collaborate with functional leaders to resolve community concerns at the local level.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Prepare for and participate in regulatory compliance surveys.
- Oversee the timely completion of safety protocols.
- Provide on-site emergency support as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- May need to pursue Real Estate licensure within a specified timeframe.
- Support other departmental functions to meet staffing needs.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
This role requires prolonged periods of standing. The Executive Director must effectively communicate with others, sit, stand, walk, and utilize hands for various tasks. Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary. The work environment necessitates appropriate interaction with others, with a moderate noise level. Some travel to different locations may be required.
