We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Liaison to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in facilitating patient flow through our system, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate patient registration and scheduling, ensuring accurate demographic and financial information is collected and processed.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and secure payment sources, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
- Provide estimates for services and communicate with patients regarding financial liability.
- Enter accurate and complete demographic and financial information into our system, ensuring seamless patient flow.
- Respond to telephone calls and provide excellent customer service, adhering to established customer service standards.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- One year of job-related experience; six months of experience with an Associate's degree.
- Basic MS Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Word skills required.
- Customer service and organizational skills essential.
- Willingness to obtain National Association of Healthcare Access Management (NAHAM) certification after one year of service.
This is a per diem opportunity with a standard 16-hour workweek. The work schedule is day/evening, 8 hours, with a minimum of 8 shifts per month. The work shift is 6am-11pm, as needed, with one summer and one winter holiday.
This role requires significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Some occupational risk is involved, but generally, the working conditions are pleasant.
