General Overview:

The Maintenance Technician is tasked with diagnosing and performing intermediate repairs on apartment and communal area equipment, ensuring the overall maintenance of residential units and shared spaces through prompt, precise, and effective service.

Key Responsibilities:


Conduct routine and emergency repairs in residential units and common areas, which includes:

  • Addressing electrical issues
  • Repairing and replacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings
  • Changing light bulbs and fixtures
  • Fixing doors and locks
Carry out all scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on assigned equipment, adhering to manufacturer guidelines.
Respond to urgent calls regarding system and equipment malfunctions.

Complete all work orders promptly, providing detailed accounts of tasks performed along with relevant equipment information.

Assist fellow maintenance staff as needed in various projects or repairs, including snow removal on campus.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in maintenance, with a solid understanding of general repair techniques, materials, tools, and equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents.
