Special Education Instructor

Every Special Child is seeking dedicated and qualified Special Education Teachers to meet the unique needs of our students in Oxnard, CA. We have the following requirements:

  • 1 Full time Mild/Mod Special Education Teacher
  • Responsibilities include teaching groups of students, meeting each student's learning requirements, and building individual lesson plans to their specific needs.
  • You will also discuss with parents and support staff to meet students' progress, adapt learning materials to students' needs, and create IEPs.
  • Keep track of and reflect on students' progress, monitor children's behavioral patterns, and arrange appropriate interventions if needed.
  • Prepare students for the transition to the next grade, coach/mentor other professionals who work with children with disabilities, and collaborate with the support staff.
  • All other duties related to the program.

Requirements:

  • Valid California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist License
  • 1+ years of working experience as a Special Education Teacher
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree with an emphasis in special education preferred.
