Job Summary:

The Healthcare Systems Engineer position at Johns Hopkins Medicine is a critical role that requires a comprehensive approach to assess, develop, validate, and manage complex operational systems. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of human factors, processes, technology, and information systems that impact patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement system design changes to improve reliability and efficiency
  • Monitor and assess system performance using operational telemetry and data reports
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement system improvements and manage projects
  • Facilitate the prioritization, efficiency, and evaluation of team member work through technology tools and data reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, engineering, or a related field, with five years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with three years of experience
  • Additional training in systems engineering, data analysis, quality assurance, technical management, and process improvement preferred
  • Lean Sigma Black Belt certification strongly preferred
