Position Overview:
The Regulatory Affairs Legal Advisor reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer and is responsible for delivering legal guidance across ITW's various segments and corporate functions. This role focuses on overseeing and advising on a wide range of regulatory matters, ensuring that ITW's operations and products comply with current and emerging legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders to proactively monitor, assess, and provide counsel on legislative developments that may impact the business. This ensures that ITW's 84 global divisions remain well-informed about potential risks and opportunities.
2. Offer strategic insights and practical support for interactions with governmental and regulatory bodies, delivering exceptional service and facilitating the efficient resolution of regulatory inquiries.
3. Ensure that ITW is equipped with the necessary resources and relationships to proactively manage regulatory risks in critical areas such as Environmental Impact, Product Stewardship, and Sustainability. This includes overseeing external resources, such as law firms and lobbyists, in a cost-effective manner.
4. Provide continuous legal support to ITW businesses, ensuring they are aware of and compliant with new, emerging, and existing laws and regulations.
5. Lead and support special projects while conducting relevant legal research to benefit the department.
