Position Overview:

  • As a Principal Machine Learning Operations Engineer at QuantumScape, you will play a critical role in developing our MLOps infrastructure. Collaborate with a diverse team of specialists in MLOps, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and DevOps to optimize the lifecycle of machine learning models.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a state-of-the-art MLOps platform
  • Refactor complex machine learning code into modular components
  • Promote best practices for model creation, deployment, and oversight
  • Advance the overall maturity of the machine learning lifecycle
  • Create solutions for real-time monitoring and accessibility of models
  • Employ workflow orchestration tools to streamline data and ML pipelines
  • Maintain internal Python libraries and advocate for software development best practices
  • Architect comprehensive systems to effectively address data and ML challenges
  • Leverage cloud services to improve scalability and performance
  • Support enterprise data management strategies for sustainable ML solutions

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related disciplines, along with substantial relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying machine learning solutions in production settings
  • Practical knowledge of MLOps tools and distributed computing technologies
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools and proficiency in Python programming
  • Expertise in CI/CD frameworks and containerization technologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication abilities
