Senior .Net Developer

This role is situated within the Discovery IT group and involves collaborating with business sponsors and other internal IT service teams to plan, build and run strategic IT capabilities in support of scientific workflows.
The senior .Net Developer in Discovery IT is accountable for Build and Run support of local IT capabilities and systems. As the senior .Net Developer, you'll be responsible for defining the architecture design of an IT application, capability, or system. You'll act as a senior developer overseeing correct implementation and usage of Discovery IT technical capabilities that are aimed at improving the business, and ensuring all parts of the project run smoothly across .Net and various COTS applications.
This is a hands-on role requiring significant knowledge of the full technology stack - from server-side to client-side components. Knowledge and implementation of application and enterprise-level patterns are also expected. You will directly or indirectly assist project teams in developing unusually technical or challenging project components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement modern technologies, including Web Development, Mobility, SQL Server, Web Services, and T-SQL.
- Develop and maintain server-side and client-side components using .Net and COTS applications.
- Collaborate with project teams to develop technical project components.
Requirements:
- 7+ years' professional Information Technology experience.
- Strong knowledge of agile software-development lifecycle methodologies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A broad technical background, particularly hands-on building high-performance web applications.
- Experience in Tailwind, tRPC, and Git.
