Job Summary

This role serves a dual function in Event Management and Event Sales. The primary responsibilities include managing events and handling the workflow associated with reactionary event sales while supporting proactive sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Manage event logistics and operations, ensuring seamless delivery of services by following established procedures and collaborating with other employees.
Serve as the point of contact between guests/clients and property event staff throughout the event process.
Verify necessary equipment, supplies, and décor are at the event site as required and properly set.
Supervise and train event staff in all aspects of food and beverage service, including alcohol dispensing, table set-up, and clearing.
Conduct site inspections of off-site catering locations and coordinate with vendors and third-parties.
Ensure event space is set-up according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) in a timely and efficient manner.

Building Successful Relationships

Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and not duplicative.
Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings, including sales calls, entertainment, trade shows, and community outreach.
Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.

Managing Sales Activities

Order necessary rentals and supplies required to properly support contracted events.
Organize event needs relative to contracted events and distribute that information in Banquet Event Order form.
Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.

Using Knowledge of Market Trends

Identify new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
Understand the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and know how to sell against them.
Gain understanding of the location's primary target customer and service expectations, serving the customer by understanding their business, business issues, and concerns, to offer better business solutions.

Providing Exceptional Customer Service

Support the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
Service customers to grow share of the account.
Execute and support the company's customer service standards.
Provide excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company.
Set a positive example for guest relations.
Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

Benefits and Compensation
