Job Summary:

United Engines is seeking a skilled Paint Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and ensuring that all painting equipment is properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement surface preparation techniques to ensure a smooth paint finish.
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray booths and wash bays.
  • Prepare and tape off surfaces before painting, ensuring a clean and even finish.
  • Safely hang parts for painting and carefully remove them after completion.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety procedures and utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork.
  • Able to read blueprints and demonstrate the ability to read paint codes and mix paint.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and ability to utilize proper PPE.
