Pest Control Technician Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pest Control Technician to join our team at Orkin. As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest level of pest control services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete our award-winning paid training program to develop the skills required to operate a pest control service route.
  • Follow a scheduled route within your assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer's residence.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and discuss additional services to meet customer needs for a complete year-round pest management program.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for your customers by implementing the most efficient and overall best pest solution for each customer's individual needs.
  • Utilize a handheld device to complete all required service-related documentation to leverage speed and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • A good driving record and the ability to pass a drug screen.
  • The ability to safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity.
  • The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • The ability to safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc.
  • Good work history and excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently in the field with strong organizational skills.

Sign-on Bonus: Half paid at the time of hire, half paid after 90-days of continuous employment. Must have an active pest control license at the time of hire to be eligible.
