Clinical Professional Development Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Professional Development Educator to join our team at Northwell Health. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing staff development and continuing education programs, as well as evaluating the outcomes of staff education.
Key Responsibilities- Assess learner characteristics, including learning styles and learning needs, to create effective learning environments.
- Develop and implement nursing professional development programs that are culturally relevant and incorporate concepts of multicultural and multigenerational education.
- Maintain a visible clinical presence and adhere to regulatory body/agency standards.
- Advocate for nursing professional development programs that support the needs of the learner and the organization.
- Function as a change agent and leader, implementing motivational strategies at individual, group, program, or organizational levels.
- Promote problem-solving and interpret and use research in practice.
- Use organizational strategic plan and goals to determine educational priorities and develop financial plans that allocate resources.
- Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 4-7 years of technical experience and 0-2 years of leadership/management experience, required.
- ED experience, preferred.
- Experience with BLS & ACLS instruction, preferred.
