The Field Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing safety and risk management related to construction activities and operational processes. This role ensures adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local safety regulations while proactively developing and implementing safety programs to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site-Specific Safety Planning: Collaborate with site management to conduct safety meetings, providing training and support to ensure supervisors can independently lead these discussions.
  • Safety Program Management: Regularly review and update safety plans in coordination with project teams, ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
  • Inspections and Audits: Conduct thorough inspections of job sites and facilities to identify potential hazards, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Risk Management: Maintain and update the Project Disaster Plan, ensuring employees are trained in emergency procedures and evacuation drills.
  • Training and Compliance: Develop and deliver training programs for staff at all levels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, safety management, environmental science, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of five years of direct safety experience within the construction sector, with a solid understanding of OSHA and other regulatory standards.

Skills: Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a capacity to engage effectively with diverse groups. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Work Environment: The role involves exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards typical of construction sites. Physical demands include lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds.
